Why Brick Figures Have Become One of My Favourite Projects

One of the things I enjoy most about running 3D Printed Gaming Forge is the variety of projects that come through the workshop.

One day I'm assembling a wearable cosplay prop, the next I'm painting a detailed resin statue, and then I'm putting together a large-scale Brick Figure inspired by some of the most recognisable characters in gaming, comics and film.

Over the last few weeks, the Brick Figure collection has continued to grow, and they've quickly become some of my favourite projects to build.

From Individual Parts to a Finished Display Piece

Like many of the projects at the Forge, every Brick Figure begins as a collection of separate 3D printed parts.

Each component is printed individually before being cleaned, checked and prepared for assembly.

Once everything is ready, the real fun begins.

Piece by piece, the character starts to come together. It's always satisfying to watch a pile of printed components slowly transform into a display piece that's full of personality.

It's one of those moments that never gets old.

Every Build Is Hand Assembled

Although the printing process is incredibly important, assembly is where each figure really comes to life.

Every part is carefully fitted together and checked before moving on to the next stage.

Taking the time to do this properly helps ensure the finished figure not only looks great but is also strong enough to be displayed with confidence.

It's these small details that often go unnoticed but make a huge difference to the finished result.

More Than Just Collectibles

For me, these figures aren't simply decorations.

They're conversation pieces.

Whether they're displayed on a gaming shelf, an office desk or alongside a larger collection, they bring a bit of personality to the space.

Every time I finish one, I imagine where it might end up and the excitement someone will feel when they open the box for the first time.

That's one of the reasons I enjoy sharing the entire process across my social media channels.

You don't just see the finished figure—you get to experience the journey from the first printed part to the final reveal.

What's Happening at the Forge?

The workshop is as busy as ever, and there are plenty of exciting projects currently taking shape.

• 🛠️ Hero Products – Customer orders continue to move through the workshop, with wearable props and custom builds always keeping the printers busy.

No matter what's happening in the workshop, there's always another project waiting in the queue.

Why I Share the Journey

One of the goals I've set for 3D Printed Gaming Forge isn't simply to sell products.

I want to build a workshop that people enjoy following.

That means sharing the successes, the unexpected challenges, the late nights, the finished projects and everything in between.
